Located in the westernmost part of the state of Gujarat, the
westernmost city of India, Bhuj is also known for its famous desert festival
Rann Utsav and its traditional handicrafts and embroidery.
The weather of the city is hot due to the presence of The
Great Rann of Kutch, which is the North of the city. However low hills surround

The main tourist attraction of the city is the beautiful
palace of Aina Mahal also known as the Palace of Mirrors (Old Palace). Built-in
the 18th century and located in the old part of the city, it is surrounded by a
small, fortified courtyard. It also has a museum within it. The Hall of Mirrors
and the Pleasure Pool within this palace are some very beautiful structures
reflecting the Kutchi style of architecture. The other famous palace of the
city is the Prag Mahal (New Palace), which was built in the latter half of the

The oldest Museum in the state of Gujarat, the Kutch Museum
is another tourist spot, which offers travelers a deep insight into the history
and culture of Bhuj. The museum was earlier known as the Ferguson Museum and
was built in 1877. The museum has a good collection of artifacts.

Darshan Kachch (folk museum) are other tourist attractions of the city.
The village of Dholavira, an ancient site associated with
the Indus Valley Civilization, the Anjal Wild Ass Sanctuary, and the town of
Gandhidham are other places, which attract tourists from all over the
world.
